Giving Life

Dozens of students, faculty, staff, and parents spent Wednesday, February 20, contributing to the Community Service Board’s annual Blood Drive. Throughout the day, donors gave a total of 19 units of blood – enough to save up to 60 lives. The blood, collected by Carter BloodCare, will go to various organizations in the Dallas area and support the health of numerous local patients.

“As Marksmen, we have a duty to serve our greater Dallas community,” said Community Service Board Member Jack Trahan ’20, who helped organize the Blood Drive. “It’s important to take part in events such as the Blood Drive where our contributions can make real impacts in the communities around us.”

In the past four years, the St. Mark’s Blood Drive has collected 86 pints of blood, enough to save up to 250 lives.
