Aside from juggling homework, co-curriculars, and weekend plans, a group of Marksmen are tackling something much bigger — restoring a piece of Texas’s native Blackland prairie. The Prairie Restoration Crew, a passionate team of young environmentalists, is working to bring back a vanishing ecosystem, one patch of North Texas at a time.
The Lee S. Smith ’65 Courage & Honor Award Committee is pleased to announce that Colonel Cedric Lee ’96 will be the third recipient of this award, which recognizes alumni who elevate humanity by making a positive impact in the world.

With most colleges on winter break, it was the perfect time to welcome young Marksmen back for a visit. Dozens of alumni from the Classes of 2021-2024 returned to campus on Wednesday, Jan. 8, for College-Age Marksmen Day.
Just before Thanksgiving Break, several of these accomplished Marksmen returned to 10600 Preston Road to offer advice and guidance to current students.
